Everyone wears t-shirts from time to time, many simply wear them every day as part of their regular wardrobe. Others wear them while laying around the house, talking walks in the evening or to trips to the supermarket. They are simple, inexpensive and durable enough to get the job done yet disposable enough to be worn when they might get stained or torn. They are the most common form of casual wear, and they are often emblazoned with various slogans, logos or images. As such, promotional t-shirts have become common, and they are a great way to promote a company or new company initiatives.
T-shirts aren't cheap and shouldn't be given away willy-nilly, but when inviting everyone to a corporate retreat nothing says "casual but corporate" like a company t-shirt. Company t-shirts are seen as something useful and important that everyone can use, and most employees will happily don one as a show of support or to ensure they're meeting the dress code on casual day.
T-shirts are a great way to promote a new program or product. Since people are automatically drawn to the text on a t-shirt, it is a great way to get a new idea or strategy across. Long lasting promotional t-shirts are kept for long periods of time and used often, making the advertising benefits even greater.
T-shirts make excellent promotional giveaways. When a client reaches a certain requirement, it is great to hand them a reward in the form of a promotional t-shirt. They will almost always pay a bit more for your services if they are rewarded with a free t-shirt. Once they are given the t-shirt, the wear them all around town, making it a great conversation starter and a walking advertisement for your company.
T-shirts are great giveaways for many reason, but the advertising potential while they are being worn is where the real value is.
